Powdered Sugar (unsifted): mL to Grams (g) Converter
Powdered Sugar (unsifted) is lighter than water, so 1 mL does not simply equal 1 gram. This converter uses the real density of powdered sugar (unsifted) (about 0.56 g per mL) to turn any volume you enter into an accurate weight.

Conversion of Powdered Sugar – mL in Grams and Back Again
Powdered sugar is the lightest sugar in most kitchens, so it needs its own conversion number rather than borrowing one from granulated sugar. Unsifted powdered sugar has a density of about 0.56 g per mL — noticeably lighter than white or brown sugar at the same volume.
The Core Formula
Weight (g) = Volume (mL) × 0.56 Volume (mL) = Weight (g) ÷ 0.56

Going From Grams Back to mL
Divide by 0.56 instead of multiplying. So if a recipe hands you 56 grams of powdered sugar, that’s 100 mL — the same math in reverse.
One Thing That Changes the Number
Sifted and unsifted powdered sugar don’t weigh the same for the same volume — sifting adds air, so a sifted mL holds less sugar than an unsifted one. The 0.56 g/mL figure here is for unsifted sugar straight from the bag; if your recipe specifically calls for sifted sugar, expect a slightly lower gram count for the same mL.
